The ORBIS project participated in the CERIS Workshop on Innovation Uptake, held on 29–30 September 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. The event brought together policymakers, security practitioners, researchers and innovators to exchange experiences and discuss opportunities for supporting the uptake of innovative security solutions across Europe.

Representing ORBIS, our project coordinator from ACCELIGENCE contributed to discussions on competitiveness, technological sovereignty, innovation uptake and the transition of research results towards operational applications.

During the event, the ORBIS UAV platform was physically showcased, with the support of the European Commission, providing participants with an opportunity to learn more about its capabilities and potential applications. Technical aspects of the ORBIS integrated system were also presented, highlighting how its different components are being brought together.

Overall, the workshop provided an opportunity to exchange insights on the challenges and opportunities associated with bringing innovative security technologies closer to operational deployment and market uptake.
