ORBIS and PALAESTRA Connect to Explore Potential Synergies

On 16 October 2026, ORBIS held a synergy meeting with its Horizon Europe sister project PALAESTRA, providing an opportunity for both teams to present their respective activities, exchange insights and explore potential areas of collaboration.

PALAESTRA focuses on strengthening preparedness for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and explosive (CBRNe) incidents through realistic, adaptable training and simulation. The project aims to develop a next-generation training and simulation platform, placing first responders, medical services and other relevant organisations at the centre of its design.

By incorporating AI-assisted scenario generation, simulation orchestration and adaptable training content, PALAESTRA aims to support multi-agency training, improve training effectiveness and strengthen operational preparedness.

Although ORBIS and PALAESTRA address different security challenges, the meeting offered an opportunity to identify potential areas of common interest and consider possibilities for future collaboration.
