ORBIS presented at the Automation & Robotics Expo

The ORBIS Project was successfully showcased at the Automation & Robotics Expo, attracting strong interest from industry professionals, stakeholders, and visitors.

During the exhibition, the ORBIS vision for enhancing maritime surveillance and monitoring was presented by the project coordinator, ACCELIGENCE, highlighting its approach to improving situational awareness and operational response at sea.

As part of this vision, ORBIS is working towards a UAV-based platform designed for sea surveillance, illegal migration identification, and search and rescue (SAR) operations, tailored to the needs of EU maritime authorities.

A key highlight of the event was the visit of the Minister of Labour and Social Security of Greece,  Niki Kerameus, who had the opportunity to engage with the ORBIS approach and explore its potential.

Overall, the event provided a valuable platform to enhance the visibility of ORBIS, engage with relevant stakeholders, and underline the project’s contribution to innovation in maritime monitoring and security.
